Canada Day Parade - July 1st, 2015

FMGCS is participating Canada Day Parade (July 1st) organized by Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo. We are glad share our Gujarati Cultural Heritage on auspicious Canada Day Parade.

We encourage all members to join in our traditional dresses to showcase our culture and heritage. All volunteers who have signed up and/or wants to join and show our cultural heritage please contact Hasmukh Mistry – 780-880-4146.

Participant meeting point: Morrison Street by the Snye (Morimoto Drive) @ 10AM.

Parade Time: Registration start at 10 AM and Parade time 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM

Route: Travelling south down Franklin Av. starting at Morrison St. to Riedel St.

Transportation: Free Park and Ride
During the parade, there will be a free park and ride shuttle service. Residents can park at MacDonald Island and hop on one of three shuttle buses running to stops along the parade route from 9:30 a.m. to 10:45 a.m.

As the parade finishes, shuttle buses will resume service, picking up spectators and volunteers for the return trip to MacDonald Island. Return trips will run from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., and will travel via Hardin Street/Morimoto drive with a stop at the Haxton Centre.
